Future Development Commission (F.D.C) in partnership with Islamic Relief – Palestine Office, launched Recovering Well-being of Gaza Children – Phase 2, after the project agreement was signed in the presence of Abdul Jaleel Sarsour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of F.D.C, Muneeb Abu Ghazala, Director of Islamic Relief – Palestine Office and Ms. Aisha Abu Shaqfa, the Executive Director of F.D.C. The project duration is 10 months starting from April 2017 until the end of January 2018. The project aims to provide a safe environment and improving the mental health of children. The project targets 350 children of the age group (6-18 years) during which children will participate in psychosocial support sessions, psychological therapy and recreational activities. The mothers of the children will be targeted at several sessions to raise awareness about behavioral problems and improve the mental health of children. In addition, four schools in the northern Gaza district of Beit Lahia will be targeted to improve the level of psychological and social counselling services in the schools to be worked with.
